Wash the Poha a few times, drain the water and keep the poha aside. 2. Take oil in a pan, add peanuts and roast them until they are golden brown in color. Keep them aside. 3. Add oil to the same pan, add urad dal, chana dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and saute for a few seconds. 4. Add in hing and saute until the mustard seeds start splattering. 5. Then add chopped onions, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and mix it all well. 6. Add in the puree made from 3 tomatoes and cook for masala for 3 mins. 7. To the gravy, add in turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Mix well and cook until the moisture completely evaporates. 8. Add in salt and mix. Add in poha and mix. 9. Once the gravy is all nicely absorbed by poha in like 3-4 mins, add the roasted peanuts, chopped coriander and ghee at last. Mix it all well. 10. Yummy Tomato Poha is ready to be served hot and nice as it is or any coconut chutney by the side. Flattened rice, also known as Poha, is extensively used for making a lot of recipes in India. This recipe is a simple yet delicious and flavorful tiffin made with Poha and tomato. This tomato flavored poha upma is very quick and easy to make. This can be a great breakfast as well as dinner.
