In the wake of the October ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, organisations in Gaza have been working actively to preserve heritage sites that were damaged by Israel's war on the enclave. According to UNESCO, in just two years, at least 114 sites have been damaged or destroyed, including the Great Omari Mosque and the Pasha's Palace.
