The December 2025 Webinar Wednesday for the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (TACUSPA) served as the fourth book club meeting. The book club met to discuss Chapter 4 of "Cultivating Trauma-Informed Practice in Student Affairs” by Tricia R. Shalka, where members shared their perspectives on how to apply concepts from the text to their work. Through discussions and personal examples, participants explored ways practitioners can know when to listen and when to problem solve, focus on the whole student, show up for others, see students as humans, be good listeners, and cultivate healthy boundaries at work/around work.
