Scantool has now introduced single-phase bandsaws to their product offer and they have included 3 robust models designed with industrial motors for industrial use. The 220 GSHE, 280 GSHE, and 320 GSHE are the new models. The 3 Scantool machines are Metal Cutting Bandsaws based on a rigid cast bow design. The saws, contingent on the model either have a top-quality 1 or 1.5 HP DC motor with infinitely variable speed control havhing a DRO displaying the blade speed in Metres per Minute (mpm) The single-phase DC Motors are designed for industrial use and applications. Band Saw Operators can precisely dial in the blade speed for each application. There is a blade pressure gauge where the operator can correctly tension the blade, and additionally, there is an adjustable blade guard. The material vice has a handwheel for large and fast adjustments and supplemented with a quick locking mechanism which enables the operator to quick release the material, advance the material to the material stop, and then re-clamp the material initiating the next cut save time and money. The three models boast a robust blade size with the saw has a saw blade capacity suitable for industry. The 220 GSHE has blade dimensions of 2085 mm long by 20 mm high and 1 mm thick and the 280 GSHE and 320 GSHE models have blade dimensions of 2450 mm long by 27 mm high and 1 mm thick. These industry-standard saw blades are readily attainable at any MRO or welding supply outlet. The 220 GSHE and 280 GSHE saws are single mitre saws with a quick-lock mechanism and angle range between 0 to 60 derees with the head moving to the left. The 320 GSHE is a double mitre band saw with a quick-lock mechanism and angle adjustment range from 0 to 60 degrees to the left and 0 to 45 degrees to the right. With all 3 models the cut angle is easily viewable on the large-sized scale on the base of the saw head. This 320 GSHE model saw is perfect for opposing mitre cuts on beams and sections eliminating the need to flip and reposition the material, thus eliminating errors and enhancing the accuracy of your cuts.
