#pioneerdj #akai Here, I’ve my Akai Mpk mini connect to the Macbook pro. Weare not going to use the console in this video, it's just Mackbook, and MidiController. At Rekordbox click here at this midi, under-connected device you must see your midi controller name. In my case Here it's Akai Mpk Mini 2. Now click here at this Sampler. We can see it's all empty, we need to create our own mapping here, and don’t worry it's very easy. Let’s create mapping now, Click here at this ADD then Sampler, and Hit this Sampler 1 play make sure it's deck 1here. Turn on this Learn, you can see its highlighted, and now press and hold the pad on your midi controller. Remember do not just press and release it. You need to Press and Hold it and on your midi window here you will see this number now turn off the Learn button by clicking on it and now you can release the pad of your controller. I'll quickly show you what happens, when you press the pad on the controller and release it quickly, this number changes you can see here how it's changing so it doesn't work. You need to release the pad once you turn off the learn button. So it’s simple Turn on Learn, press and hold pad turn off learn and release the pad. Now let’s set the second pad, the process is the same Add, Sample, and here will select sampler 2 for the second pad. Turn on Learn, press and hold the second pad on the midi controller, turn off the learn and then release the pad on the midi controller. Ill set the rest pads both 3rd and 4th. So here we have assigned our first deck of the sampler on the midi controller. Now let's set up this second deck, before that you might have noticed I’ve used these samples from the track, if you wanna know, how to chop the samples very quickly from the track on rekordbox itself, without using any other software click here on this link and watch this video. Now let’s set our midi controller for Deck 2 Sampler. The process is the same, only we need to select another bank on the midi controller, we can’t put them on this same bank or it will replace the original. here in my case ill select B, let’s hit this button on the midi controller. Now Repeat the same process which we did for 1st deck. Let’s add all 4 sampler play buttons again, Nowhere, we need to change the deck of all these 4 buttons, make it Deck 2. Again repeat the same process Select this sampler 1 play turn on learn, press, and hold the 1st pad on the midi controller, once you see the number here turn off learn and then release the pad on the midi controller, and it's all set. These midi settings will be saved automatically close this window. Here if you select bank A it will play samples on deck 1 and if you select bank B it will play samples on deck 2.
