Easiest Fix for Leaking Water Pump. Dirt Bike, ATV, Motorcycle. Very Simple!

You DON'T need to remove your crankcase cover to fix your leaking water pump! There's a quick and easy way to change the seal without doing extra work. The idea came to me, I tried it, and it worked, so I made this video to help you out! **BE CAREFUL WITH THE IMPELLER SHAFT!!! The torque spec for the water pump impeller is 10 lb. ft. But just get it finger tight then snug it a little with a ratchet. The impeller shaft spins counter clockwise so that will naturally keep the impeller on the shaft because of physics. Off camera, I over tightened the impeller and unknowingly cracked the shaft. My bike was over heating after that so I took the water pump cover back off to investigate. When I pulled the cover off, the impeller and the broken shaft fell out. So after making this video on how to avoid taking the case cover off, I still ended up having to take it off and replace all of the water pump components. Oh well, live and learn.
