PEI spring steel sheets are great build plates for any filament (except PC), but their adhesion performance decreases over time. In this video I use the spring steel sheet of a compromised PEI-coated build plate to build a new plate with Ultem (PEI) sticker. I sanded the old build plate - it took me about an hour to clean both sides. The black-coated PEI sheets are easier to clean for some reason. I started the same process with a natural (yellow) coated sheet and it takes more time. You won't save big by doing this, as the Ultem 1000 sticker costs half of a complete PEI build plate, but I like to re-use when possible.
