Canada is home to numerous initiatives in surgical robotics and image-guided therapy innovations, which have the potential to transform the healthcare system and practice. In this lecture, Cameron Piron will discuss latest trends and opportunities in the area of image-guided robotic interventions and image-guided therapy tools for minimally invasive procedures. Cameron will give an overview on the commercialized work of Synaptive Medical in the area of surgical robotics, and will discuss opportunities that exist for these technologies, and the challenges in bringing these technologies to market.
