Having completed his undergraduate work at the University of California at Riverside, majoring in Biochemistry, he then pursued his Podiatric Medical Degree at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California. Dr. Bhakta continued his post-graduate training by completing a Podiatric Internship at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York that involved hospital and community podiatric medicine. He also participated in a podiatric surgical residency at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey. He is Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot-Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Bhakta is actively involved in the APMA and the TPMA organizations as well. In his leisure time, Dr. Bhakta enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and helping in the community.
