Battle of Springfield - Vignette #2

This is the second of five vignettes that were filmed around downtown Springfield, Missouri that pertain to the Battle of Springfield (technically the second battle of Springfield but due to its size compared to the first battle, it is widely accepted to be called The Battle of Springfield). These vignettes were filmed at locations where difference aspects of the battle occurred. Note: In this video I mention that the Confederate force was whittled down to about 1500 because of the need for many soldiers to hold the horses, since the Confederates were dismounted. The number was actually more like 1800, since McDonald was the first to dismount while the rest of the force stayed mounted. Later in the battle, it is not known how many ultimately ended up fighting dismounted.
