On the day I recorded this video, I had everything set up and ready to go. It was supposed to be a lighthearted abstract painting session. Then I received the news that a beloved friend had passed away. I'm not big on following celebrity news but the passing of Catherine O'hara hit me very hard. I didn't watch the series Schitt's Creek until Covid, and then I binge-watched it. That show, especially Catherine's creation of "Moira" got me through the lockdown. The news hit me hard. I thought I would call it a day and not record, but I did. This is art as a way to sit with heavy emotions, rather than explain them.
