Benny trailer practice 2/27- dealing with a bolt

Before this video, Benny hopped in the trailer and unloaded fairly well- he still attempted to bolt out, but stopped when he hit the end of the lead. I asked my husband to video, and the first clip was the result. I spent quite some time getting him to stand in the trailer eating hay, then asking for just one step at a time, rewarding each time he stopped. After 2 or 3 repetitions, he unloaded much better! Still a work in progress, but he is such a good and willing boy, just a nervous one whose go-to when anxious is to bolt. #donkeytraining #donkey #burros #trailering
