The HVAC system between the RAV4 prime and the Prius prime are somewhat similar but the principal difference is the lack fo the inside condenser. It instead uses a liquid condenser to warm up the coolant and use that to warm up the cabin. The HVAC system also ensures that the battery stays cool by sending refrigerant to the battery to cool it. Many call it liquid cooled and many assumed it's coolant that cools it but it's actually refrigerant that cools it. Also a small reminder for RAV4 Prime owners that a refrigerant level check and refill is required every 80,000 miles ( 128,000 kms ) to ensure optimum performance for the battery cooling function.
