Shark Stewards Sharktober expeditions to SE Farallon Island observing, educating and collecting information for our State Marine Protected Area Collaborative Network using photography and the Trident ROV. These public trips support our Sanctuary and MPA education program. These are community science adventures collecting whale information using location and photo ID to help minimize ship interactions, collects data on benthic organisms and fish in the state marine reserve. We emphasize educating our passengers on the history of the Farallones, from exploration to exploitation to conservation, including wildlife biology and management.
