What is Halal and Kosher slaughter? Is it HUMANE and PAIN-FREE? | olivethevegan

Since going vegan, I have learnt a lot more about religious slaughter, including Halal and Kosher. In this video I hope to explain what is actually involved in these practices. For all kosher and non-stun halal slaughter, the animals aren't rendered unconscious before their throats are slit. Make no mistake, this is an even crueler form of animal abuse than 'regular' slaughter. But do I think stun-slaughter is 'humane' or even remotely 'ethical'? No. There is no 'better' way or 'right' way to do the wrong thing. These animals don't want to die, don't have to die and will fight for their lives if given the chance. The only way to humanely slaughter someone is to not kill them in the first place. The debate between halal, kosher and non-religious slaughter is largely inconsequential when you compare the suffering of these sentient beings throughout their whole entire existences, if you're someone who is against animal cruelty, don't facilitate these industries at all, don't waste your time on making sure they suffer slightly less during their death.
