Gambit without the -60 All and -200 MPM/BPD??? ← some clickbait title @cyromancer7416 would write (sorry about the Cringeweaver gaming) Probably one of the coolest clears I've done, though it doesn't use the entire menagerie like DragonWarrior Star Defenders. Mega nerd yap ahead: __________ Key moments: First, Crane Master's purge can be used to your favor on T4 (0:51), where not having any effects active allows Crane to immediately purge the -15 All debuff ('Charged Pummel' in the log) Sparkle Boy inflicts right before him on that same turn. Getting this purged is important because it means not getting owned by Crane's 4-turn stun. It also means being able to survive on T6 against Sparkle. The gamer move on T6 (1:28) is using eGambit under Scales. This is done so that Gambit's positive buff effect ('Soul Boost') expires on T10, leaving Gambit's negative debuff ('Soul Gambit') as the oldest effect in the log. That means it can be immediately purged by attacking Sparkle since he has Absorption Barrier active that turn (2:36 (also lol not critting Siphon🙃)). On T12 (3:00) Sparkle allows a free turn to go right back into Gambit. Snap is used the following turn on T13 (3:16) because Absorption Barrier is up again with Soul Boost next to be purged. This is because Snap being a single-hit attack means it keeps all the benefits of the Gambit buff even as it's purged that turn, as Absorption Barrier only purges effects after the first hit. The Gambit debuff is still active here, but it's not very significant since the attack Sparkle uses that turn is the lowest damage one in his rotation. Attacking again the next turn with Assault on T14 (3:32) purges the Gambit debuff. TLDR; let Crane purge Sparkle's -15 All effect to avoid getting stunned and use Sparkle's Absorption Barrier to purge Gambit debuffs. In total you use Gambit 3 times and only take 2 turns of damage with its -60 All debuff active. __________ There's some funny tech you can do to get only the Gambit debuff purged while keeping the buff, but this didn't line up super well in the duo fight and ended up not being worth it here. This interaction works because while Gambit's buff is by default listed as the older effect and its debuff listed as the newer one, you can use Gambit again after the buff expires but before the debuff expires to keep the debuff as the older effect. This means it can get purged when you attack Sparkle when he has Absorption Barrier active, leaving you with only the Gambit buff. You can test this easily in the Sparkle Boy solo with this rotation: 1. Slice // Scout 2. eGambit + Venge // Lash 3. Aegis // Overcharge 4. Untangle // Outrage 5. Rebuke // Primal 6. eGambit + Siphon* *After this you should have the Gambit buff without the debuff.
