The animated movie will be the seventh feature-length installment in the franchise, which follows the adventures of the sloth Sid (John Leguizamo), the mammoth Manny (Ray Romano), and the saber-toothed tiger Diego (Denis Leary) during the Pleistocene ice age. The upcoming Ice Age 6 was officially announced in 2024, nearly a decade after the release of the most recent installment in the main branch of the franchise, 2016's Ice Age: Collision Course.
