Lingshan ( Chinese:灵山 ) Located in the westernmost part of Beijing, about 120 kilometers away from the city. The main peak of Lingshan is 2303 meters elevation, which is the highest peak in Beijing. It is usually called Eastern Lingshan in the outdoor circle, in order to differentiate between Western Lingshan and Northern Lingshan, which are located in Zholu County, Hebei Province. Beijing Lingshan Scenic Area covers an area of 60 square kilometers and belongs to the Taihang Mountains. It has steep peaks, natural forests and subalpine meadows. The temperature in the scenic area is 17℃-22℃ in summer, which is cool and pleasant. Back around 2016, the scenic spot was stuck in a state of closure. In May 2019, it was officially announced that the Spirit Mountain scenic spot was suspended from opening to the public. On this trip, we drove from a deserted but busy parking lot in the Lingshan Scenic Area, Back to Beijing. The final destination is the New Shougang Bridge in Mentougou District.
