Governor’s Opioid Response Seminar Series- September 10, 2021

On Sept. 10, the Governor’s Opioid Response Seminar Series resumes with a one-hour webinar featuring the Maine Naloxone Distribution Initiative (MNDI). The state’s purchase and distribution of naloxone began in July 2019 following the announcement earlier in the year by Governor Mills as part of the issuance of Executive Order # 2. Contracts were signed with four so-called Tier-One purchasers/distributors which provide naloxone at no cost to nearly one hundred Tier-Two distributors. Participants in the webinar will learn how the distribution process works, who is eligible to receive naloxone and what training is required under existing law and regulations in order to be a recipient.
