Spearbed Copse is a distinguished property located in Beaulieu, Hampshire, historically associated with the Showering family, creators of the iconic Babycham beverage. Constructed in the 1930s, this Tudor-style mansion was acquired by Francis Showering, the mastermind behind Babycham, following the drink’s success in the mid-20th century .  The estate encompasses approximately 12.5 acres of landscaped grounds that extend to the Beaulieu River, featuring amenities such as a deep-water jetty, boathouse, heated swimming pool, and tennis court. The main residence offers six bedrooms, multiple reception rooms, and picturesque views of the river .  In recent years, Spearbed Copse has attracted attention due to its state of disrepair. As of 2024, the estate has been unoccupied, awaiting demolition and redevelopment. Plans include constructing a new 10,000-square-foot main house, a 2,500-square-foot guest cottage, a boat shed with a sail loft and river-view balcony, and various other outbuildings.
