From the infamous space jump to the world’s most intense female daredevil, here are ten of the world’s real daredevils. Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB 10: The Red Bull Space Jump You have to be a serious daredevil to jump to the earth from space. You might even remember the Red Bull space jump from just a few years ago in 2012. The guy’s name is Felix Baumgartner, and he jumped to earth from a helium balloon at the edge of space. Literally from the edge of space. 9: Annie Edson Taylor Annie Edson Taylor was one of the world’s first female daredevils. This is the woman who went over Niagara Falls in a barrel and lived to tell the tale. It all went down on October 24, 1901. Annie was a schoolteacher, 63 years old, and she climbed into that barrel all by herself and went straight over Niagara Falls. 8: Harry Houdini A lot of people only know Harry Houdini as a magician. But this guy was a serious daredevil, and participated in some stunts that were completely insane. He apparently became more and more obsessed with death-defying tricks as his fame grew. 7: Joseph Kittinger Before the Red Bull space jump, there was Joseph Kittinger, who leaped from a balloon gondola at an altitude of 102,800 feet and fell for a full 4.5 minutes before opening his parachute at 18,000 feet. Before Joseph, nobody had attempted such a stunt before. But the real story here is about the fearless pilots of World War 2 who paved the way for the stunt. 6: Evel Knievel As far as daredevils go, Evel Knievel is number 1 on the list and definitely the most famous to date. He was born in 1938 and was an absolute maniac. After his first motorcycle jump in 1965, Knievel upped the ante and continued to make record-breaking jumps while breaking all kinds of bones. He jumped across the Caesar’s Palace fountain in Las Vegas, 141 feet. 5: Jackie Chan While many people might not consider Jackie Chan to be a daredevil, he absolutely is. He became super famous in the 80s and early 90s, dominating the box office in Hong Kong and East Asia. 4: Ronald Dlamini A man named Ronald Dlamini is the world’s real Daredevil, just like in the Marvel comics. He is a world-renowned mixed martial artist who suffered an extreme loss in 2012 when a spell of meningitis and a brutal 10-day long coma left him 100% blind in both eyes. 3: Philippe Petit The story of Philippe Petit is nothing short of incredible. Forget jumping out of a plane with a parachute on. Try walking a tightrope between the World Trade Centers in New York. This daredevil’s name is Phillipe Petit, and he was only 24 years old when he flew to New York City for the first time in January 1974. 2: Alain Robert The next guy on our list is also a French daredevil. But rather than walking between buildings on a tightrope, he climbs up them just like Spiderman. Some of his amazing climbs include the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building. 1: Charles Daredevil Hamilton Charles “Daredevil” Hamilton was also known as the Crazy Man of the Air. This aerial lunatic survived over 60 different aircraft crashes during his career. He was born in 1885, and was one of the pioneers in aviation. #daredevils #biggeststunts #amazingpeople #worldlist
