Join us as we explore Scottsdale, Tasmania, a relaxed country town in Tasmania’s beautiful North East and the perfect base for coastal and countryside adventures. We stayed at Northeast Park, a fantastic local-run creekside camp asking only for a donation. With ducks relaxing by the water, a great park next door, and peaceful nights under the stars, it’s a must-stay for travellers. From Scottsdale we explored the town shops and walked the North East Rail Trail, following the old railway line past green dairy farms, forestry country, and forests where we spotted paddymelons. We also took a short 21 km drive to Bridport, instantly falling in love with the crystal-blue ocean water. Even with school holidays making it busy, it’s a beautiful seaside town and well worth the visit. Linda couldn’t resist a swim — even without swimmers! In our next video, we ticked off a true Tassie icon with a visit to the Pub in the Paddock, where we will feed Pricilla the Pig a beer 🍺🐷.
