📍 Srinagar Naugam Police Station Blast: Death Toll Rises, Major Investigation Underway A massive explosion shook the Naugam Police Station in Srinagar late Friday night, killing at least 9 people and injuring over 25, according to officials. The death toll is expected to rise as several victims remain in critical condition and rescue teams continue searching for people feared trapped under the debris. The blast occurred around 11:23 PM, sending shockwaves across the area. Investigators revealed that body parts were found nearly 300 feet away, indicating the sheer intensity of the explosion. Police sources say the investigation is being conducted from two angles: 1️⃣ Accidental ignition of ammonium nitrate during sealing procedures in the presence of a magistrate. 2️⃣ A possible terror-related blast. The explosives involved had been confiscated earlier from Faridabad, linked to a terror module. Out of the 350 kg of explosive material, most was stored inside the police station where the FIR had been initially registered. Some chemicals were sent to the forensic lab, while the remaining stock was kept at the station. The bodies of the deceased have been moved to the Srinagar Police Control Room, PTI reported. The material was originally seized from a rented house belonging to Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, one of the eight individuals arrested in the terror module case.
