Hi cuties! I gave in and did the faux yarn locs for my new protective style. I chose burgundy, which looked like a vibrant red and used a few pieces of two old bundles for highlights. On the first day, it felt a little heavy, but no different than when I first get braids. Thereafter it felt fine. I am so glad that I chose not to do them too chunky. Probably would have looked like a bobble head. LOL. I recommend making your yarn crochet locs in advance. Next time I will do more days, less hours and at least a week ahead if I work that out. It is important to moisturize your hair properly before styling, as well as keeping moisturized the entire time. I knew better, therefore avoiding too much breakage. I used mostly Red Heart Super Saver acrylic yarn that I purchased from Walmart. Two large bundles are best to avoid running out of yarn. Hope you found my video helpful.
