2012 Hoover Commercial (EH50500) Decade Upright Vacuum Cleaner

I found this on OfferUp for $40 in Virginia Beach, VA. That is more than I usually pay for my vacuum cleaners, but this Hoover was worth it. I had no idea that Hoover offered a variation of the Decade series so recently. Compared to my Decade 80 models, this unit is almost the same. It uses more modern plastics which makes it much stronger than the older ones, though. For example, not that I do this regularly or recommend doing this, but I am able to stand on the hood of this machine and not hurt it. That is something that I surely cannot do with my older Decade models. It uses the same molds as said older models, so the castings are identical. This is especially odd because it was made by Ecovacs Robotics of Suzhou, China. Techtronic Industries (TTI) must have shipped them the old molds for Ecovacs to produce these. The only new part on it is the mount for the modern headlight. Overall, even though I do prefer a bagged unit over these dust cup models, this is an excellent vacuum cleaner.
