Today we explore Mount Edith Cavell in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. The mountain was named in 1916 for Edith Cavell, a British nurse executed by the Germans during World War I for helping Allied soldiers escape from occupied Belgium to the Netherlands. Hike the shorter Path Of Glacier Trail or take the Cavell Meadows Trail for more spectacular views. On the north face, view the hanging Angel Glacier which spills over a 300 meter cliff. To the left of angel glacier there is also ghost glacier and only a remnant of it remains after it broke off in 2012 and fell into Cavell pond causing a flood down the valley. There is also Cavell Glacier that actively calves off giant chunks of ice into Cavell pond where you will see many icebergs. Come along with me as we explore this stunning area in Canada's Rocky Mountains. ► More Details: https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/ab/jasp... https://www.britannica.com/biography/... ► My Gear: Sony Alpha A7 III Camera Sony FE 28mm f/2 Lens Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 Lens Gobe ND Filters Rode VideoMicro Microphone DJI Ronin-SC Gimbal DJI Mavic Mini GoPro Hero7 Black Geekoto AT24Pro Dreamer Tripod Lowepro Flipside 400 AW II Backpack ► Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/ExploringwithW... ► Music Credit: https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/i... https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/D... https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/f... https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/G... https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/i... ► Follow Me: Instagram - / exploringwithwade Twitter - / explorewithwade Facebook - / exploringwithwade #mountedithcavell #jaspernationalpark #angelglacier
