Flash point of the fuel is the point where the fuel evaporates and gets ignited under the source of ignition.Different fuels have different flash point and the fuels can be ignited only after they have reached their flash point. In this video we compared the petrol(gasoline) and diesel by igniting then at the room temperatures. Diesel has the high flash point than the surrounding temperature. And hence the diesel will not readily ignite under when we throw a match stick into diesel, it has to heated up to its flash point and then only it can be ignited.
