EGU23 GIFT session 2: The ocean & its ecosystems, climate change & the sustainable development goals

EGU's annual Geoscience Information for Teachers (GIFT) workshop was held between 24 and 26 April 2023, and was composed of a combination of lectures delivered both virtually and on-site. The theme for the 2023 workshop was ‘The key role of geosciences for the global challenge of sustainable development: the Agenda 2030’. Some goals described in the Agenda 2030 that were presented include education, climate changes, energy, water life, pure water, terrestrial life and natural risks. GIFT workshops include topical presentations from scientists at the cutting-edge of research together with hands-on teaching activities.
