Whiteout on the False Summit & Descent via Southwest Chutes Lost in a WHITEOUT on Top of a Volcano What started with rain and light snow, turned into a bluebird day, then quickly turned into a serious test of focus and navigation. While skiing Mt. Adams in Washington, I found myself caught in a complete whiteout near the false summit. With zero visibility and disorientation setting in, I had to stay calm, trust my instincts, and make a careful descent down the Southwest Chutes. A ski tour turned into a real mental and physical challenge. In this video, I take you along for the ride: from the initial climb, to being socked in by the clouds, and finally making my way safely back down the mountain. ⚠️ Conditions can change fast in the mountains.
