How to Repair an HP Laptop Intermittent Trackpad (Touchpad) Clicker in 30 Seconds!

I was about to go back to Lenovo because this HP laptop's touchpad (also called a trackpad) clicker was intermittent. At first, I thought it was a software issue, because I am using Linux, but it was hardware. I verified this with the command: sudo libinput debug-events which showed it was working about a third of the time. I had a very thin business card from Monsoon Solutions, Inc., where a former student works, that is actually a very thin printed circuit board. All I did was slide it along between the touchpad and the palmrest at the bottom of the touchpad. I am so happy with this fix!
