Created c. 1930-40's (?), likely United States. c. 175 pages with many hundred of scraps, including newspaper articles, poems, cards, and other small cut-out (sometimes color) images. Period 1/2 leather binding, smooth spine, marbled covers. Album assembled from an old used late 1890's ledger (bits of ledger still visible between scraps). Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition. Binding gently age worn, leather rubbed but still supple, joints slightly scuffed, spine ends chipped, remains overall attractive as an object. Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound. Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
