Introducing SONiC Community Hardware Testing Lab
Brian O'Connor Software Engineer - Google, Guohan Lu Partner Software Engineer - Microsoft This year, the SONiC project has funded a new community hardware testing lab, hosted by the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Interoperability Lab. This testbed will enable SONiC images to be tested on a variety of switches provided by the community, and SONiCs verification pipeline will be extended to run new code contributions on hardware switches in the lab. The goal of this effort is to improve SONiC image quality, understand new feature readiness for various different hardware platforms, and provide a space to troubleshoot SONiC image issues with the community. Vendors are invited to provide hardware to this new lab, and members of the community are encouraged to add new tests that can be run on hardware switches in the lab.
