3 Day Walk | Derwent Valley Heritage Way | Day 3

The Derwent Valley Heritage Way is a long distance footpath of 55 miles that follows the River Derwent through the Peak District National Park of Derbyshire. From Ladybower to Ambergate on day 3 Ambergate to Belper, Makeney, Little Eaton, Darley Abbey, Derby, Shardlow and the Derwent Mouth along the way we will pass a few heritage mills to the industrial revolution along its route including the Derwent Valley Mills a world heritage site part of UNESCO, which includes Cromford and the Cromford canal, then through Belper before heading to Derby and Shardlow before the trail finishes as it reaches the River Trent. All artwork in this video is of my own and copyrighted. Day 3 - 24 miles This is day 3 the last day of the trail. Today we start at Ambergate and begin by walking to the historical North and East Mills of Belper, then through the heritage market town, onwards to Makeney and to Little Eaton passing Peckwash Mill and onto Darley Abbey and Darley Mill then to the city of Derby passing the Silk Mill, next we head along the Derwent to Ambaston and the historical inland port of Shardlow, onto the Trent and Mersey Canal as we reach the Derwent Mouth next to the River Trent which is the end of the long distance footpath route.
