zxbryc - cosmic bumpin'

I started this song in 2019 - I had only done 1.5 minutes of an intro. In 2020 I did a completely new take using the same chords, and made it funkier with a new bassline & melody. This version was only 50 seconds. A long time went by contemplating how I would merge the two and make it work, and now I finally got back to them, and fleshed it out into a full song, and this is the result! Enjoy. It uses some of my favorite soft synths ever: z3ta+ 2 (main melody layer 1), Audjoo Helix (crunchy bass and the softer breakdown melody), Toxic Biohazard (deep bass and chords), and the (old) Korg Legacy MS-20 plugin (main melody, layer 2). Also: this is going to be on an two-part album I'm working on, that's going to hold a ton of original music. It's going to take ages to finish though, so I thought I would post some as they get finished. The original drawing of the space monkey playing the bass is by Stephen Green.
