Witnessed the Han Dynasty's "King of Technology" and Overwhelmed the Audience

Zhang Heng (78–139 AD) Zhang Heng was a great polymath from the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was an astronomer, mathematician, inventor, geographer, poet, and official. He made the world’s first water-powered armillary sphere to study the stars. In 132 AD, he invented the first seismograph (地动仪) to detect earthquakes and show their direction. He also studied the moon, eclipses, and calculated a value for pi. He was a famous writer and served the Han court. Zhang Heng is one of ancient China’s most brilliant scientists.
