When I was researching the Green Touch Industries Truck Rail System, I noticed that there was only one install guide on YouTube and it wasn't a very in depth guide from the manufacturer that still left me with a myriad of questions. So, I bit the bullet and bought the system and jumped in the deep end on creating a video that hopefully answers some of your questions as to how the install really works and what to expect when you make the investment. First off, I would like to say the instructions that came in the box are like the majority of their product install guides... and that is, a step above useless. The diagrams did not show the same pieces as were in the box and in general were very vague. I did take the opportunity to call Green Touch and inquire with them about my questions and I will say that I have never had such a delightful experience over the phone with any business. The level of respect for my time and the promptness in which I got answers was above all others. I had the absolute pleasure to speak with Joanna and she had me send in pictures to her email to show the issues I was having and I got a phone call not even 5 minutes later with an answer. Green Touch, I would publicly like to say that you did a fine job in hiring Joanna as she reflects greatly on your business. The answer I got, however, did not exactly line up with the pieces in the package. I then planned out the configuration of which racks were to be placed where on the rail system and devised a plan as to what hardware items that would be needed from Lowe's to complete the install. Approximately an hour later, I was back at the house with the needed parts to secure the rail onto the stakes. After everything was said and done, I am more than happy with the finished product as the rail is extremely sturdy in place and the racks I placed on the rail seem to be very compatible with the rail system. Unfortunately, I would give a solid 2/10 on the instructions found in the box as the items in the box are different than what is seen in the diagrams and the diagrams have poor resolution when trying to decipher which nuts, bolts, and washers to utilize. One of the main goals of this video is to show the viewer how the stake installation works regarding the stake pockets. The vehicle used is a '16 RAM 1500 with the crew cab/short bed configuration but you can allegedly use this on a long bed configuration as well. In summary, I would highly recommend purchasing this product but just beware of the significant headache you'll experience when installing this product.
