Salisbury Charm for Motorhome Enthusiasts

We spent 3 nights at Salisbury Camping and Caravan Site and although the weather was not great we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Most of the pitches are sloped but our chocks levelled us up. It is a very open site and no cover from the bad weather but on the other hand if it was hot and sunny it would be very nice. The first afternoon we all walked into Salisbury City took only 20 Minutes and Leigh and i saw Salisbury Cathedral close up for the first time and wow was it impressive we really enjoyed our walk round. We then walked round the city saw many historical buildings and of course visited a couple of nice pubs and had a good meal as well. The 3rd day we visited The Old Sarum which is very close to the campsite which was first an Iron Age Fortress and used by the saxons Romans and the Normans. It was a great place to visit even though the rain and wind froze us to the bone. Overall we will be back to Salisbury again as we only scratched the surface of things to see.
