Governor Joho blocked from accessing Presidential function in his county

Drama ensued in the coastal city of Mombasa when a contingent of Presidential security personnel,drawn from the General Service Unit - GSU blocked Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho from attending the relaunch of the Mtongwe Ferry Services. The security officers led by Presidential guard commanding officer George Nderitu intercepted Joho's motorcade in Nyali and directed the governor to his office, away from the venue of the Mtongwe Ferry event officiated by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Speaking in reference to the blocking of Joho, President Kenyatta warned the Mombasa governor to quote, 'stop playing around or he will be dealt with’.
