The main aim of this project is to expand the electronic travel aid for the blind and visually impaired pedestrians by emerging into the ultrasonic technology. It is based on a microcontroller with synthetic speech output. This aid is portable and gives information to the user about the obstacle direction to point out what decision to make. On the other hand and in order to reduce navigation difficulties of the blind, and obstacle detection system using ultrasounds and vibrators is added to this device. The blind guidance system is safe, reliable and cost effective.
