Joe visits Tri-State Museum's annual Plow Day in Bird City, Kansas. This is an ever growing event that brings draft horse teams and teamsters from many states to "play" in the fields together. Joe interviews Vance Reddon who gives us the history of the annual event. We see a parade of teams which including Friesian/Percheron, Haflingers, Percherons, Mules, Crosses, Belgians and Fjords! All pulling various wagons/buggies and farm implements. We see footage of the Feed Race where teams compete loading and unloading hay bales. The Pole Race" where teams haul poles (logs) with forecarts. Mike McGilvray shows us two of his beautifully crafted horse drawn vehicles, one a Sheep Camp wagon and the other a Roof Seat Break. He and his wife farmed for 35 years and then decided to become tour bus drivers. They travelled all over the world and brought back souveneers from all their visits. They display them in this museum, all divided by location.
