“We Won” is taken from Sarah P.’s new album Plotting Revolutions (out June 2020).  Considering the current set of circumstances and concerns, “We Won” - a soothing lullaby masterfully combining electronic elements with acoustic instruments - becomes light in darkness, prompting a sense of hope and longing for better days. In Sarah’s words: “Being the final song of the album, “We Won” is meant to be cathartic, while being cautiously optimistic - after all, the revolution has only begun (the “revolution” as in the way we’re thinking and behaving). In uncertain times like ours, where every new update about the near future is diluted by feelings of hopelessness and remoteness, we’re called to show strength and character - practically, while being at our lowest. Understandably, many of us are frustrated and at loss… Some have lost their loved ones, others their jobs, while most are simply affected by the entire idea of staying home in order to protect others, having to keep up with their lives, make ends meet, take care of their children and families and so on. “We Won”, in this context, offers perspective of taking things as they are and looking forward. Right now, we all need to feel like we belong - with our families, within communities and our societies.
