The railroad runs 24/7, and that means even the occasional rail train in the winter time. In this video, we'll chase a rebuilt Canadian Pacific SD60 6306, that was once Soo 6024, pulling a welded rail (CWR) train west. While it was rebuilt just a few years ago, this unit liked to smoke a bit when the engineering throttled up under heavy load. We start off seeing it screaming up the BNSF Saint Paul Sub as the solo unit lugs the heavy train towards Soo Line Jct. After that, we catch another shot of it in little Canada before meeting the Canadian National at Cardigan Jct. Lastly, the train is seen from a drones view as it pulls through New Brighton while dropping the signal, and slamming the diamond. While I wish it was still in Soo Line colors, it's great to see these SD60s still earning their keep on the railroad #train #railroad #drone Copyright 2021 Douglas Hildebrandt, all rights reserved.
