ALLEGED MONOPOLY OF RICE DISTRIBUTION FOUND AT PDS DIPHUPAR-B VILLAGE

Nagaland TV on August 17 visited the Public Distribution System (PDS) of Diphupar - B Village. During the visit it was found out that only 4 kilos of rice was given to BPL card holders instead of 5 Kilos per head as per the terms of Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies, Nagaland. NLTV caught this particular PDS located at Diphupar - B village red handed in monopolizing BPL rice distribution and shockingly the PDS was operated by the Council Members. The village has around 800+ beneficiaries registered under BPL and the total requirement of rice is 180 quintals. While interacting with the village Chairman he said that the resolution was passed by the council at their annual general meeting but interacting with many beneficiaries they mentioned that the decision was taken by a few members without informing the villagers .
