In this video, we document our experience of using Jun Master soil – mostly we have concentrated on plant growth, changes in water chemistry, liquid fertilizers used, etc. Here are our key findings: 1) We did not observe any deterioration of the soil granules 2) The soil has good buffering capacity, we did not observe any major pH swings 3) The initial growth was slow but plant growth picked up with time. We used APT all-in-one fertilizers and definitely increased nitrogen accelerated the growth of certain plants 4) The soil does not release ammonia significantly just after setup so you can avoid multiple water changes Key sections of the video: 0:00 Introduction 1:03 Setup on 16th February 1:41 Water test results before first water change 2:05 After planting 2:38 Progression after 1 month 3:12 Progression after 1.5 months, introduction of liquid fertilizer 3:57 Progression after 3 months, algae control measures 5:25 Progression after 5 months, Final look, observation summary 6:23 Glimpses of second tank with master soil, upcoming video 7:18 Aquarium details 7:29 Plant details Aquarium Details: Tank size: 60 cm by 30 cm by 36 cm (H) Light: Aquasky RGB 60 Substrate: Jun Master Soil + ADA Super Pour Fertilizer: APT Zero followed by APT Complete Hormones: ADA Green Gain Algae control: APT Fix Plants Used: Micranthemum umbrosum ‘Monte Carlo’ Alternanthera reineckii ‘Mini’ Microcarpaea minima RanunculusiInundatus Rotala rotundifolia 'H'ra' Myriophyllum sp ‘Mini Guyana’ Riccardia chamedryfolia Anubias nana ‘Snow Flake’
