In our Stargate SG-1 reaction to Season 3 Episode 15 “Pretense”… we did NOT expect a full alien courtroom showdown 😭⚖️ Klorel crash-lands on Tollana, the Tollan call a Triad, and suddenly Daniel and Jack are acting as Archons defending Skaara… while Zipacna stands there looking suspiciously like Elon Musk and arguing Goa’uld logic like it’s completely reasonable. Once we saw it, we couldn’t unsee it. But this Stargate SG-1 episode might be one of the most intense moral debates of the series so far. The symbiote silencer letting Skaara and Klorel switch control. Daniel arguing that free will defines life. Zipacna claiming humans are inferior. Lya casting the deciding vote. This felt like major payoff for everything that’s been building since early Stargate SG-1. And then of course… Zipacna tries to attack Tollana immediately after the ruling. Was “Pretense” one of the strongest episodes of Stargate SG-1 Season 3?
