Presented: Thursday 25 August 2022 Presenter: Dr Bonnie Purcell DVM Host: Dr Anke Wiethoelter VM PhD MVPHMgt Topic: ‘Prednisolone prescribing practices and pharmacokinetics in dogs’ In This Talk: This seminar presents the results from a retrospective study observing prednisolone prescribing practices for dogs in Australia, as well as a prospective study observing prednisolone pharmacokinetics in a population of client-owned dogs of different body sizes. The purpose of the latter was to observe whether body weight influences prednisolone pharmacokinetics. About the Presenter: Dr Bonnie Purcell graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, and completed her residency in small-animal internal medicine in July 2022. The focus of her Master’s research has been the use of prednisolone in treating dogs. This was Dr Purcell’s Masters completion seminar.
