On July 18, 1994, Hezbollah conducted a horrific suicide van bombing attack that shook Argentina. The attack took place at the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) building in Buenos Aires, Argentina, killing 85 and injuring hundreds. This bombing is the deadliest terrorist attack in Argentina and all of South America to date. This wasn't Hezbollah's first terror attack in Argentina. In 1992, Hezbollah targeted the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires which killed 29 and injured hundreds.
