NEWS! CFA Institute Gives Minimum Passing Score (MPS) and Scale Score in CFA Exam Results!

Meet Nathan Ronen, CFA, Lead Instructor and Co-Founder of Chalk & Board. In this video, Nathan discusses the new enhancements to CFA exam score reports. Beginning with the February 2025 exams, the CFA Institute is adding transparency to exam score reports by adding the candidate’s scale score and CFA exam Minimum Passing Score (MPS) to the report. Scale score is a numerical representation of how the CFA candidate did on their most recent exam. In addition to pass/fail emails, CFA candidates now will receive an enhanced score report that will have an overall numeric result indicating how well they performed compared to the CFA exam Minimum Passing Score in the same report. This provides additional clarity and helps candidates to track their performance between attempts at the same CFA exam level if unsuccessful. CFA exam score reports prior to 2025 will not be retroactively updated to include scale scores.
