#fhandee #arun #rudee #yanee #elephantrescued #elephant #elephantsanctuary We rescued 4 elephants from the elephant camp at Kanjanaburi - Fhan Dee, Arun, Rudee, and Yanee. Yanee, the youngest and healthiest elephant, travelled to Samui Elephant Sanctuary for responsible care. The other three were on a long journey to Elephant Nature Park. Fhan Dee, the eldest elephant, had collapsed a few days before rescue. She had been unwell for awhile. We were concerned about her strength for transport. She received fluids and vitamins for a few days prior to travel, and the same veterinary care enroute to our project. She was watched very closely. Upon arrival, after unloading, all 3 elephants received a health status check by the vet team in the quarantine area, and we let all three elephants rest. We are certain that our environment at Elephant Nature Park will will proffer more positive energy to all of them enabling a return to mental and physical well-being.
