Swahili is a Bantu language initially spoken by the Swahili people in Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique. It has over 200 million speakers, mostly in Tanzania. Kirundi, also called Rundi, is a Bantu language and the national language of Burundi. It is part of the Rwanda-Rundi dialect continuum and is spoken in Burundi, Rwanda, parts of Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and Kenya. Kirundi is mutually intelligible with Kinyarwanda, the national language of Rwanda. This video is created for educational, language awareness, and language preservation purposes.
